ENGLISH CUT UNVEILS THE MTM CODE AND LAUNCHES LONDON FLAGSHIP STORE
English Cut, the British tailoring brand founded in 2001 by Savile Row tailor Thomas Mahon, has unveiled the English Cut MTM Code: a unique formula which brings the hallmarks of the bespoke tailoring experience to the made to measure suit. The tailoring house, whose origins are in making bespoke suits for distinguished clients around the world, is launching the MTM Code to coincide with the opening of its first stand-alone store, on Chiltern Street, London.
The English Cut MTM Code is born from a vision to create bespoke quality accessible and redefine made to measure for a new generation of men. The English Cut MTM Code consists of three levels of differentiation, MTM 1, MTM 2 and MTM 3, and each offers a variation in style, cloth and finishing to suit individual preference and budget.
No matter which made to measure service a client chooses, they will receive the same English Cut experience: a style and purpose consultation at the Chiltern Street store, measurement and cloth selection. For the premium MTM 3 offering, clients will receive an initial fitting before the suit is hand-finished in English Cut’s bespoke workshops. Upon the completion of the final hand finishing, the client will receive a final fitting at English Cut to ensure an exacting garment fit.
The English Cut team spent more than four years developing and refining the English Cut MTM Code. This included developing a pattern which reflects the house ‘soft tailoring’ style, a signature Thomas Mahon acquired during his experience at Saville Row’s Anderson & Sheppard and while servicing his bespoke clients for decades. Finally, English cut travelled the world to find the right manufacturing partner to meet their exact quality standards.

The English Cut Chiltern Street flagship store is the first stand-alone store in central London for the tailoring house. Offered at the new residence will be the MTM Code service, the full traditional bespoke offering and a selection of ready-to-wear pieces. Alongside the store, Thomas Mahon will also continue the distinctive personal approach he is best known for which is travelling the world to meet his bespoke international clients.
The English Cut store is now open with the MTM Code prices starting from £595 for MTM 1, £995 for MTM 2 and from £2,250 for MTM 3.
