A MONTH WITH THE SKULL CANDY VENUE ACTIVE NOISE CANCELLING WIRELESS HEADPHONES
I have had the pleasure of using the Skull Candy Venue Active Noise Cancelling Wireless Headphones for the past month.
Once I received them I very quickly realised it was in my best interest to use them for at least a month to give my best review and impressions on the headphones.
Skull Candy Venue Wireless Headphones are an absolute departure from what myself and most of us are used to seeing from Skull Candy. Gone are the intense colours and loud branding, to be replaced with a subtle and almost invisible logo on either side which gives it a super slick and minimalistic look.
Whether you’re commuting on the subway, tuning out a roommate or in my case my kids, or escaping the distractions of an open office, Venue helps you create your own quiet space. The active noise cancelling function filters out unwanted noise so all you hear is your music.
My aim was to test out its many feature to see if they do hold up. The Active Noise Cancelling works like magic, once the headphones are turned on Active Noise Cancelling is automatically activated and you are instantly in your own world of silence but if you need to hear your surroundings or need to talk to someone then monitor mode is your best friend. Just press a button and Venue lets you answer a question or order a coffee without taking off your headphones and above all, shouting.
With the built-in Tile technology track your headphones anywhere, so if like me you go from room to room leaving your headphones wherever, you will be pleased to know finding your headphones is a simple tap away in the tile app. You never have to worry about losing your headphones again.
With 24hrs of listening time, my aim was to see how long I could go without charging my pair of Venue headphones and I managed a full week of on and off usage during my work day and downtime. This included playing music at full volume, listening to audio books and watching YouTube videos. Once I got the battery low prompt, I popped them on charge and the rapid charge feature Venue is equipped with is excellent; just 10 minutes of charging gives you 5 hours! Perfect for an on the go person like myself.
Naturally all the buttons do what we have all come to expect from a modern set of headphones, you know play/pause skip forward and back and with a quick touch of a button, you can use Venue to activate your device’s voice assistant to get directions or message your friends.
Venue is a lightweight design crafted with premium materials. The cushioned adjustable headband lets you dial in the perfect fit, while soft memory foam ear cushions mould to your ears. So, all in all this is a pair of headphones worth the money.
Simply put they have thought of everything you would need from a pair of wireless headphones and more, they are well worth the money and then some.
