EL GANSO LAUNCHES ‘WALKING STRIPES’
A NEW LINE INSPIRED BY ITS FIRST SNEAKERS
More than 10 years ago, El Ganso launched its first collection of sneakers, inspired by a model worn by Slovak soldiers in World War II. Those sneakers, with their colours, plaids, and stripes quickly found their niche on the streets of Madrid, a trend that spread in the same way to other cities and garments. This month, El Ganso debuts the Walking Line , a reissue designed for the Tigra and Running models.
The sidebands on the Tigra sneakers, launching 9th March, are similar to those found in tartan plaids, stamped with the emblem that has featured on each of the brand’s collections.
The new Running sneakers, launching 30th March, incorporate a more robust, higher sole. The ribbon in two colours on both models is reminiscent of the contrasting collars and linings on El Ganso blazers, coats, and polos. It is precisely this detail that makes the shoes faithful not only to the brand’s origins, but to the philosophy of making every detail unique and distinct.
Prices: Tigra £55 Running £65
Both styles are available in 2 colour ways.
