CLAE SS16
THE NEXT CHAPTER
After launching as a small, independent footwear business, Los Angeles-‐based CLAE celebrates its 15th anniversary this year by unveiling the next chapter in its evolution. CLAE’s signature minimalist construction continues to take inspiration, offering a refined assortment for Spring 2016. The Spring/Summer 2016 look book from CLAE sees the brand head over to Palm Springs, the desert city and the home to famous mid-‐century American architecture. The new style offerings from CLAE are mostly rendered in a neutral palette, with subtle earth tones and premium quality materials such as vegetable tanned leather to redefine classic silhouettes within the collection, which are complimented by the structured designs of the surrounding environment.
THE BRADLEY: Rethinking the traditional court shoe, new silhouette Bradley is a superior sneaker of well-‐balanced proportions. A contrast-‐colour heel finished in neoprene adds unexpected functional details to something aesthetically pleasing. Bradley uses full grain leather, CLAE’s custom Standard Premium (SP) sole and leather lined interior.
THE MORGAN: New silhouette Morgan utilizes a perforated synthetic suede boat shoe upper with a lightweight running outsole. Offering innovation in versatility, the Morgan weighs just under 8 oz, making it one of CLAE’s lightest silhouettes ever.
THE LENARD: Also new to the collection is the Lenard, inspired by a menswear dress shoe that defies the rules of a cap-‐toe. The Lenard has been crafted with the highest quality leather and seamlessly transitions from day to night and work to play.
