EYEVAN 7285: FASHIONABLE EYEWEAR

In 1972, EYEVAN started with a concept of “eyewear as a fashion item”.

When Optec Japan design team looks into hand-written drawings or precious archives kept in a warehouse, they find Japan’s distinguished technologies, creativity and enthusiasm of craftsmen in those days. “EYEVAN 7285” is reconstructed based on those archives of “EYEVAN CRAFT”, disassembling parts and designs used at that time They have updated details and altered the sizes to adjust segmentalized various fashion and created new shapes based on EYEVAN’s memory.

“EYEVAN 7285” is inspired by products and concepts of EYEVAN between when it was launched in 1972 and their global debut in 1985, taking over the philosophy of EYEVAN. That is why they decided to name the brand “EYEVAN 7285” with respect.

The perfect case for the perfect eyewear

Inspired by the 1920’s antique case, it is originally produced by the original mold. After making wooden molds for the aluminum case a few dozen times, They have finally come to the perfect design. Attention to the classical element is condensed to detail such as embossed stripe patters or its construction with the shaft. Every frame comes with an aluminum case, a paper box reproduced the EYEVAN case used at that time and a cleaning cloth in the same design.
