FILIPPA K COLLABORATES WITH ARTIST MALIN GABRIELLA NORDIN

Filippa K has together with Swedish artist Malin Gabriela Nordin made a limited edition silk scarf with one of Nordins eclectic works of art. The scarf will be numbered and sold in selected Filippa K stores and online on the 21st of April.

Malin Gabriella Nordin was born in the late eighties in Sweden and has been one of the most talked about Swedish up and coming artists in the past years. With her art works in various shape, material and colour, she captures natural forms and transform them into eclectic and abstract works of art. Nordin is pushing the boundaries, and this project was initiated with that in mind, and the purpose to dissolve the distinction between fashion and art.

“Visiting Nordins studio we were instantly drawn to her abstract, colourful expression and effortless process. The idea of a scarf came early on as a fusion between what we do and what Malin Gabriela Nordin is creating which will result in both a work of art and a piece of clothing.”

One of Malin Gabriella Nordins designs was carefully selected by Filippa K and will be printed on a luxurious silk scarf made by hand. The sculptural and threedimensional pattern with its eccentric colours complements Filippa K´s Spring Summer collection, and the scarf can be both a wearable piece as well as art. The scarf will be produced in a limited edition, all numbered 1-125.

A limited edition of the scarf will be sold exclusively online and in selected Filippa K stores worldwide starting from the 21st of April.
