ANA SEGURADO – SS16 COLLECTION
For SS16 collection the Ana Segurado chose to work with destroyed and printed denim.
Inspired by several women artists (Patti Smith, Joan Didion, Yayoi Kusama, Edith Piaff), and following their way of thinking and living, Segurado created a collection balanced between high fashion and street style, where at the same time can be found Japanese influences with a nordic simplicity twist.
Shredded denim with failure frayed points and jacquard micromotifs are rich in detail and texture, but keep it wearable; while the washed printed garments gave the collection a more sophisticated and feminine side.
The collection includes a range of versatile pieces which work in layers from stylish dresses, inspired-kimono jackets and capes, sweaters and tops.
The prints were inspired in the australian textile artist India Flint with the series of work: Sense of Place, where she creates dyes of fallen leaves, rinds and earth pigments.
