SaintPaul is a rapidly expanding contemporary brand. It stands out for its originality and its quality. Exclusive prints and jacquards are all drawn by hand. For AW 16/17 SaintPaul gets inspiration from exotic art collections as well as by a number of recent exhibits in Paris and London: Fondation Cartier’s “Beauté Congo” exhibit in Paris, V&A’s “Fabric of India”; The London “Liberty” show.
From African masks to ancient Tribal art, from Street art and tags to traditional exotic animal prints, from ancient Liberty prints to modern tattoos and abstracts, SaintPaul relishes the adventure provided by these visits and recombines them in his personal universe.
The designer
Born in South-Korea, brought up in Europe, Jungho GEORTAY, SaintPaul’s designer, values the power of fashion and textiles’ unique capacity to convey new cultures and new territories. Jungho studied at La Cambre Brussels and IFM Paris and lives in Paris. He has worked with luxury brands such as Lanvin, Kenzo, Zegna, Paul&Joe and Jean-Paul Gaultier. Currently Jungho is the artistic director of the Armor Lux “Heritage” line. He also works on a regular basis for Cabbeen, the fast-growing Chinese luxury brand.
