‘For Life In The Open’ – A statement Penfield have lived by since its inception in 1975. For Spring / Summer 17’ the brand famed for its reliable outerwear, look further into the meaning and explore its diverse connotations, through three collection stories – Open Road, Flashback and Neo-Active.

Each category conceived early on in the design process, possesses unique silhouettes, graphics, and fabrications, tailored for different styles. Tying the lines together into one cohesive collection under the Penfield banner is a soft seasonal colour palette with accents of Limelight, Vivid Blue and Bluejay.

Open Road – Dedicated to Penfield’s classic aesthetic and forty year history, Open Road harks back to the brand’s New England foundations with a natural colour spectrum, durable fabrics and core Penfield styles. Key looks include the new easy-to-wear Barnes jacket – a DWR coated Nylon shell with stowaway hood and mesh lining, Oxford shirting, classic checks and the fan-favourite Vassan Mountain Parka.

Flashback – From past collaborations with the likes of Stussy, ALIFE, Maharishi and Saucony, Penfield has continued to see a growth in its inner city popularity and become a wardrobe staple for many. Committed to continue the affinity with a more streetwear-savvy consumer, Penfield introduce the Flashback line for SS17.

A collection of block bright outerwear, soft jerseys and bold graphics, Flashback is heavily influenced by 90s sportswear silhouettes, fits, colour-ways and styling. Key attributes include the Penfield Speed graphic, running throughout the line and striking colour combinations.

Neo-Active – A contemporary revival of the original Penfield Trail Wear line from the 70s, Neo-Active sees Penfield look to develop a more modern and technical side to the brand. This season’s designs incorporate lightweight fabrics – 2-Layer Tech Nylon, Taped Seams, Ripstop and Reflective print detailing.

For Neo-Active, Penfield introduces key new styles, the all black Colfax fishtail parka with contrast limelight pocket detailing, the Storm Trail Jacket and Dixon Trail Backpack made with highly durable Cordura fabric.
