Explorer footwear brand Palladium continues its 70th anniversary celebrations with its AW17 collection. Harking back to its origins following a recent move to hometown Lyon, where Palladium was born seven decades ago, the brand embraces its past to shape its future.

With exploration at the heart of the brand, AW17 sees Palladium introduce three clearly defined new product categories: Urbanity, Elements & Heritage that act as the foundation for the product stories within the collection.

Each category has been meticulously developed to reflect the diversity of modern daily life with each function-first style crafted to stay one step ahead of city exploration and beyond. Utility-inspired, technically-led and fashion-forward, the new Palladium collection is inspired by the ever-evolving ways we explore our surroundings with each new product story adapted to keep one step ahead of a diversity of environments.

Multi-functionality is a key design driver across the Palladium FW17 collection as exemplified by the Pampa Solid Ranger with its utility-led pocket bag. Fabricated using a synthetic water resistant nubuck and incorporating a padded ankle for extra comfort, the new Pampa Solid Ranger is a contemporary update of Palladium’s popular Travel Legion boot.

Other key styles from heritage category includes Pallabosse OFF LEA, must have leather boot of the season, and Pampa Lo Cuff Lea, mid-cut suede boots available in season’s key colour millenial pink and also in black.

Pampa Sport Cuff WPN ‘s upper features a fusion of leather and ballistic nylon. A carry-over style that previously existed in different colourways, in AW17 Palladium introduces six new colour options including all-over white version available from ASOS and an all time Palladium classic in amber gold.

With the launch of Urbanity, Palladium unleashes some of the brand’s most directional footwear styles to date. Trend-led silhouettes, marrying leading-edge technical innovation with statement-making silhouettes, take centre-stage. With this style, Palladium adds flair to hiking boots with a sleek style enhanced by seamed panels and an angled opening. The padded collar shows a touch of pizzazz with a two-tone knit accented by Lurex thread; it also offers warmth and protection around the ankles. For active explorers, hooks and D-rings enable fast lacing and a customised fit. The rubber toe-cap and seam match the leather for a streamlined effect.
