Canada’s cult-favourite brand Moose Knuckles and London’s revered RTW designer Mary Katrantzou team up for an unexpected union and reveal at Katrantzou’s AW18 runway presentation.

A fusion between dazzling prints and Canadian outerwear, the collaboration between award winning womenswear designer, Mary Katrantzou, and luxury outerwear brand, Moose Knuckles, brings a playful, imaginative and bold take on the ever brash, and controversial, style of the Canadian coat manufacturer. With an injection of femininity and elegance, this partnership marks an unprecedented, and serious foray into London Fashion Week.

Opposites attract with force when Mary Katrantzou’s imaginative opulence, embellishment, and signature prints, meet Moose Knuckles’ workwear sensibility, heavy metal finishings, and stalwart construction. Drawing inspiration from the preciousness of Victorian interiors and the radical lines of Bauhaus, traditional bombers and parkas are transformed with pointillist embroidery, leather tufts and velvet flocked damask.

Beauty tames the beast, and walks down the runway in the form of fantastical Moose Knuckles coats, reimagined by Mary Katrantzou amongst her Fall/Winter 2018 collection. The collaboration will roll out this Autumn at select stores internationally with a Moose Knuckles obligatory big bang, expect worlds to collide and forever change.
