THE PALLA ACE: PALLADIUM LAUNCHES NEW CANVAS SNEAKER

Part of Palladium’s Heritage collection, devoted to reimagining tried and tested classics from Palladium’s rich archive, the unisex PALLA ACE is the new chunky-soled must-have canvas sneaker for Spring Summer 2021. With its statement-making lightweight canvas silhouette, the PALLA ACE is the definitive everyday staple sneaker for the warmer months.

Taking subtle inspiration from archive styles, the PALLA ACE’s stripped-back retro styling makes it an essential piece that blends effortlessly with any outfit to be a true Uniform Of The People wardrobe staple. Keeping the style simple with a wraparound canvas upper, rubber toecap and aggressive contrast outsole, the PALLA ACE shares subtle DNA markers with Palladium’s anchor style, the bestselling PAMPA, and a contemporary nod to the brand’s history as a rubber tyre company.

The PALLA ACE is introduced in three key silhouettes, a high and low version, PALLA ACE CVS HI and PALLA ACE CVS, both sharing design traits, and a third low style, PALLA ACE FLAME, which features a banded section across the mid upper and a contrasting branded heel tab on the heel notch. Each style also features a new exaggerated diamond band midsole design and a hand assembled vulcanised outsole. In Palladium’s early days, the brand became a pioneer in its use of vulcanised rubber to create durable and hard-wearing boots, a legacy which has continued to define the brand since its inception in 1947. Fast-forward to SS21, and the PALLA ACE delivers a modernist reflection on Palladium’s manufacturing roots.

With its oversized diamond midsole foxing, the new PALLA ACE features design echoes of Palladium’s classic and best-selling PAMPA style which features a micro diamond pattern across its rubber outsole. The diamond foxing has become synonymous with Palladium over the decades. The underside of the PALLA ACE outsole features a bright yellow superlemon tread with Palladium’s signature chevron design, a sneaker designed as an all-angle attention-grabber.

Paying homage to Palladium’s French heritage, the new style also comes in the colours of the French flag with the FRENCH FLAG PACK, featuring blue, white and red across the upper and heel of each shoe. Small French flag tabs also line the upper quarter of each sneaker, honouring the brand’s homeland.

Standout colourways across the collection also include nods to Palladium’s military heritage with the subtle tonal palette of Olive and Sahara contrasting against bursts of vibrant Spicy Mustard and Salsa. The collection is also available in more mono variations including Star White, Black, Marshmallow and Moon Indigo.
